Found this a few days, a 12 year old girl killed herself as a result from bullying on social media. When should we begin to start educating our students on bullying in schools?

Add to blog in a sincere and thoughtful manner. You may provide outside links for classmates, photos, music, reflections on class experiences, and more as long as these postings are directly tied to either my posted prompt AND/OR class topics/readings. The language may be informal "blog lingo" as long as your efforts are sincere and well tied to our purpose with the course.

Nick I took a look at the story you posted. It is terrible that this can be happening in our schools. I agree with you in that we need to educate our students on bullying because it does help reduce bullying in schools. However teachers struggle to see every bullying incident on school grounds, what can be changed in order to become more aware of cyber-bullying in schools?

^^maybe start a club against bullying in school. Have them become model students, pledging against bullying or harassment and knowing how to effectively take a stand against it. They can play an activity role in the school on a more regular basis to enforce anti-bullying within the classroom and hallways and lunch time. i dunno just a thought :)
